ICOS Impianti Group is a leading company in the design,
manufacture and supply of high-quality machinery for washing, sterilization and
heat sterilization operating in the pharmaceutical, para-pharmaceutical, medical
cosmetic and food services fields. Honesty, transparency, innovation,
commitment to safety and the environment: these are the results of a strong and
recognized cultural identity, which has been handed down in ICOS for over 25
years.
The Life Sciences Division produces equipment for the washing,
sterilization and drying for pharmaceutical products, equipment and components
as well as machines for sterilization with steam, air+water, superheated water,
or EO gas.
The products in this line are the perfect result of a strategic formula that
calls for the implementation of advanced manufacturing methods, various control
procedures and safe and reliable tests.
The entire range is manufactured according to pharmaceutical
standards cGMP, GAMP, and FDA's 21CFR Parts 11, 210 and 211, using high-quality
industrial components. High-quality finishing is ensured for both the process
surfaces as well as for the areas of interface between sterile and non-sterile
zones.
ICOS provides the client with technical support both during the
manufacturing and testing phase of the machine, and furnishes complete
documentation.

Stopper
Washer/Siliconizing/Drying
ICOS' extensive experience with the treatment of stoppers for containers
normally used in the pharmaceutical industry has lead them to produce the LT
Series Stopper Washer (see LST Series below for Stopper Washer/Sterilizer)
This new range of ICOS equipment has several innovative features that exceed the
industry's expectations. These Stopper Washers are designed for the complete
treatment of sealing devices for pharmaceutical products, rubber and plastic
stoppers, droppers, metal rings, etc.
The LT machines is fully automated, and available in six sized to accommodate a
wide variety of customer requirements. The smallest unit (20L) can process
roughly 6,000 of the 20mm standard stoppers, while the largest unit (240L) can
process roughly 72,000 of the same. The complete cycle time for the LT is
approximately 2-2.5 hours
Characteristics of LT Series Stopper Washer
- Operating
process consists of Washing, Rinsing, Siliconizing, Drying, and Cooling
-
Distribution of load into separate baskets for better results; by
separating the stoppers, there is little or no mass weight to cause
interlocking - thereby offering maximum surface exposure during each cycle
phase
- Washing
is done by simultaneously rotating the basket(s) and fluid-bed action from a
recycling pump and spray nozzles. The particles in suspension are
removed
- Even
siliconization of products guaranteed by recycling pump
- Drying is
done through the use of HEPA filtered air
- Optional
automatic loading and unloading systems
- Optional
interface of unloading door to isolator
- All
materials in contact with the process are 316SS
- CE & UL
mark available; GAMP4 & cGMP compliant, 21 CFR parts 11, 210 & 211
compliant
- Capacity
from 20L to 240L
